Megan McKay

Associate Lawyer

Megan McKay was raised in Owen Sound, Ontario and has always considered it home.   She completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology (Honours) at the University of Guelph, and soon after worked in the non-profit sector.  In 2021, she obtained her Juris Doctor degree at the Peter A. Allard School of Law.

Megan has a demonstrated interest in family law.  Throughout law school, she volunteered with the Legal Services Society providing family law information to the public.  She was also an externship student at Rise Women’s Legal Centre, acting as counsel for low-income women experiencing family law issues.  Megan has further worked at a family law firm in Vancouver in the roles of a summer student, articling student, and associate.  Upon returning to Ontario, she was delighted to join the Ross Firm and continue in this area.

As a former volunteer coordinator, community betterment is a passion of Megan’s.  She has volunteered with legal clinics, Access Pro Bono, and law students, among others.  In her spare time, Megan can often be found with a book in one hand and a coffee in the other.
