Overview

Quinn Ross is the Managing Partner of The Ross Firm and a recognized leader in expropriation, corporate, and real estate law in Ontario. With over two decades of experience, he is frequently retained by landowners—often leading the largest ownership groups—in significant provincial expropriation proceedings. He provides strategic guidance and effective advocacy to ensure fair treatment and full compensation for property owners facing the disruption of major infrastructure projects.

In his corporate practice, Quinn advises clients on complex business transactions, including incorporations, reorganizations, mergers, and acquisitions. He has successfully managed transactions across a broad range of industries, from early-stage ventures to corporate sales valued in the nine-figure range. His clients rely on his ability to structure deals with clarity and foresight, ensuring legal integrity and business viability. Quinn also leads the firm’s real estate practice, providing legal services in both residential and commercial transactions. His background in real estate litigation enables him to proactively identify and manage risk, delivering practical, detail-oriented solutions for purchases, sales, and developments of all sizes and complexity.

In addition to his legal practice, Quinn is a prominent figure within the profession. He is a Past President of the Ontario Bar Association, has been named one of Canada’s 25 Most Influential Lawyers by Canadian Lawyer magazine, and currently serves as an elected Bencher and adjudicator with the Law Society of Ontario. These roles reflect his ongoing commitment to advancing legal standards and contributing to the governance of the profession.
