Rebecca Kloosterman Expands Her Practice: Now Offering Family Legal Services Provider (FLSP) Support

The Ross Firm is pleased to announce that Rebecca Kloosterman, a valued member of our family law team since 2021, has expanded her scope of practice and is now licensed to provide services as a Family Legal Services Provider (FLSP).

Rebecca has worked exclusively in family law since 2017 and has long been a central part of our team. As our team-lead family law clerk, she has supported senior counsel on complex, fast-moving litigation files and helped clients navigate difficult transitions with clarity and compassion. With the addition of her FLSP licence, Rebecca now offers a broader range of services to support individuals and families across Ontario.

A First for Our Region and a Reflection of TRF’s Commitment to Innovation

Rebecca is part of the Law Society of Ontario’s first cohort of FLSPs, and The Ross Firm is proud to be the first in our region to expand into this innovative area of family law.

This step reflects our firm’s long-standing commitment to rethinking how legal services are delivered, providing clients with better options, faster answers, and more meaningful access to justice.

By integrating FLSP services into our family law group, we are helping reduce wait times, improve affordability for certain matters, and increase access to high-quality legal support for the families we serve across Ontario.

What Rebecca Can Help With as an FLSP

As an FLSP authorized by the Law Society of Ontario, Rebecca can provide specific family law services and guide clients through the family court process. Her expanded services include:

  • Simple divorce applications in Ontario
  • Filing domestic contracts (separation agreements, cohabitation agreements, marriage contracts)
  • Motions to change child support / child support variations
  • Change of Name Act applications (18+)
  • Defending against Family Responsibility Office (FRO) enforcement
  • Drafting certain family law documents
  • Step-by-step navigation and process support for family court procedures

Bringing Clarity, Confidence, and Compassion to Family Law

By adding FLSP services to her practice, Rebecca continues her commitment to empowering clients. She excels at translating complex legal issues into clear, practical information and ensuring clients feel informed, supported, and confident at every stage.

Rebecca’s strong academic foundation includes an Honours BA in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Carleton University, a Paralegal Graduate Certificate from Fanshawe College, and a Professional Certificate in Conflict Management from Western University. Her dedication to ongoing education reflects her focus on delivering high-quality, up-to-date legal support.

Beyond the office, Rebecca has demonstrated a deep commitment to community service through volunteer work with Family Counselling and Support Services in Guelph-Wellington and Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region further reflecting her compassionate approach to advocacy.

We are excited to expand our family law services through Rebecca’s new FLSP role. If you need help with a simple divorce, child support variation, domestic contract filing, or navigating the family court process in Ontario, Rebecca is ready to assist.
