Overview

Danielle is a Partner at The Ross Firm and leads both the civil litigation and criminal law practices. Her civil litigation work is primarily focused on personal injury, including motor vehicle accident claims and wrongful death cases. Danielle has significant experience handling complex, catastrophic personal injury matters, offering dedicated and skilled advocacy to clients facing life-altering circumstances.

In her criminal law practice, Danielle defends individuals charged under the Criminal Code of Canada, with particular experience in representing clients accused of sexual offences. She also has a strong background in Coroner’s Inquests, where she has acted on behalf of families who have lost loved ones during interactions with law enforcement.

Recognized by clients and peers alike, Danielle is known for being fearless, passionate, intelligent, and relentlessly detail-oriented, leaving no stone unturned for her clients. She is an experienced trial lawyer who has successfully represented clients before all levels of court in Ontario, including the Ontario Court of Justice, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, and the Court of Appeal for Ontario. Whether in jury or non-jury trials, her “down-to-earth” and client-centered approach ensures that her clients are informed, empowered, and well-represented.

Beyond the courtroom, Danielle is a champion of community engagement and social justice. She spearheaded The Ross Firm Cares, a firm-wide volunteer initiative that encourages legal professionals to give back to their communities and spent many years volunteering for the Ronald McDonald House and with refugee students. Danielle served as a Director and later Vice President of the Board for the YMCA of Owen Sound Grey Bruce from 2014 to 2021.

Committed to advancing women in law, Danielle is actively involved in mentoring young female lawyers and working mothers. She serves on the Criminal Lawyers’ Association’s Women’s Committee and is a member of the Criminal Lawyers’ Association, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, and the Advocates’ Society.
